沿革

1914

Takasaki Scientific Instruments (named at the time of founding was Takasaki Seisakusho), the predecessor company of our Bioprocesses Department, was founded. Started manufacturing medical equipment such as operating tables and beds.

1946

At the request of the General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, efforts toward the industrial production of high-quality penicillin began in industry, government, and academia, led by the Japan Penicillin Association. Takasaki Scientific Instruments started developing a penicillin culture equipment, and the first product (commonly known as a swing-type culture shaker) was completed.

1953

Takasaki Scientific Instruments successfully developed a large incubator shaker designed in-house and started delivering incubator shakers to research institutes, universities, and private companies nationwide.

1967

The number of large scale incubator shakers delivered by Takasaki Scientific Instruments exceeded 500 units, and the company held the top share in Japan.

1970

Sakamoto Giken, the predecessor company of our Powder Processes Department, was founded. Sakamoto Giken started delivering spray dryers and spray coolers nationwide.

1975

Masaru Kiki, the predecessor company of our Cleaning Processes Department, was founded. Masaru Kiki started delivering precision cleaning systems nationwide.

1976

Masaru Kiki changed its name to Asuka Seiki Sangyo.

1985

Asuka Seiki Sangyo opened its cleaning test center in Kawaguchi, Saitama.

1991

Asuka Seiki Sangyo opened a technology center in Kawaguchi, Saitama.

2004

A.S.K. was established by absorbing Asuka Seiki’s precision cleaning systems business.

2005

PRECI was established with a capital of 10 million yen by acquiring Sakamoto Giken’s powder technology department. Yoshimasa Kato was appointed as Representative Director. Started designing, manufacturing, and delivering spray dryers and spray coolers. Opened Powder Technical Center (PTC) in Kawasaki, Kanagawa.

2009

Tadao Miyatani was appointed as Representative Director.

2010

Launched global strategy and expanded collaboration with agents, distributors, engineering and service partners worldwide.

Acquired the incubator shakers business of Takasaki Scientific Instruments and established a new Bioprocesses Department. Started designing, manufacturing, and delivering incubator shakers and high-pressure steam sterilizers. Opened Biotechnical Center (BTC) in Kawaguchi, Saitama.

2011

Increased capital to 30 million yen.

2012

Hayato Kato was appointed as CEO and Representative Director.

2014

Acquired the precision cleaning systems business of A.S.K. and established a new Cleaning Processes Department. Started designing, manufacturing, and delivering precision cleaning systems. Opened Cleaning Test Center (CTC) in Kawaguchi, Saitama. Established the current three technology portfolios.

2016

Started testing services and product sales for wet cooling compact bench-top freeze granulator units through a joint venture with Sweden’s PowderPro.

Opened ASEAN Cleaning Test Center (CTC ASEAN), targeting users in the ASEAN region through a partnership with Malaysia’s JKS Engineering.

2019

Developed the Freeze Granulator, the world’s first spray freeze granulation drying process for mass production.

2020

Obtained a marketing license for medical devices in Japan. Started selling platelet shakers (designated medical equipment) under the QMS system.

Awarded jointly with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Yokohama National University, and Yokohama TLO for the FY2020 Strategic Fundamental Technology Advancement Support Project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Project name: Research and Development of Spray Freeze Granulation Drying Process for Advanced Fine Ceramics).

2022

Delivered the first freeze granulator CS30 to the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

2023

Opened the second Powder Technical Center (PTC2) in Kawasaki, Kanagawa and expanded the latest facilities including freeze granulators, spray dryers, freeze dryers, liquid manufacturing processes, wet pulverizers, wet mixers, molding and sintering equipment, powder analysis and measurement instruments, etc.

Opened ASEAN Powder Technical Center (PTC ASEAN), which targets users in the ASEAN region through a partnership with Thailand’s T.S.K. ENGINEERING.

Started product sales for high-efficiency cyclones that incorporate PACyc (Particle Aggregation in Cyclones) model into numerical optimization simulations through a joint venture with Portugal’s Advanced Cyclone Systems (ACS).

2024

Increased capital to 80 million yen.
